Large Clams from an aquaculture farm
In recent years the Tridacna Gigas clam has moved from the endangered species list, to a "closely
watched" list. the US Fish & Wildlife Service now allows importing by quota, and from aquaculture
farms. To see photos of the farm, and of these clams in their habitat, see the next page "Clam Farm
Photos". Truly beautiful to see!
Giant Clam Shells can be used as a bathroom sink, as an outdoor water fountain, or as a shrimp
boat at your next party. These shells are extremely smooth and clean on the inside.
There might be some slight peeling on one or two teeth; sometimes a tooth will have a chip. This
usually occurs during the cleaning process and is to be expected. I sell near-perfect giant clams
(perfect are specimen grade and cost three times more!) since 1999 and all clients have been very
pleased. Click on photos to see larger image.
